Each year 4-H community members and leaders are nominated for awards to be given out on Achievement Night in November. Below are the award categories and how to nominate someone for each individual award. The deadline for nominations is Sept. 15, 2017.

Congeniality Award

How to nominate: Letter describing a members actions that went “above and beyond” to help others have a better Fair experience.

Diligence Award

How to nominate: Letter describing a member who tried very hard, but due to unusual circumstances had a difficult time.

Performance Arts Good Sportsmanship Award

How to nominate: Letter describing a member who demonstrated characteristic of good sportsmanship, superior character, and commitment to 4-H ideals before, during and after the Performing Arts Contest.

Family and Consumer Living Award

How to nominate: Letter with nominees name, age, past and present FCS project completed (nominee should have experience with multiple FCS project areas and some sort of leadership experience), learning experiences, how knowledge gained has been practically applied, how the member teaches others, and any supporting materials (photos etc.) *** This can be a self-nomination or by Leader.

Community Service Award

How to nominate: One page letter including; name of the project, project objectives, what was one, project cost, project results, picture or any supporting materials (not to exceed 4 pages with supporting documents).

Junior Leadership Award

How to nominate: Must be enrolled in the Leadership project area.  (Please watch for emails about the award expectations there).


Outstanding Club Organization Leader Award

Communicator Award

Above and Beyond Award

Salute to Excellence - Volunteer of the Year Award (Leader)

Salute to Excellence - Outstanding Lifetime - Volunteer Award (Leader)
